TASK 10: WORKING ON THE LAST PAGE OF THE WEBSITE

Today I was working on the last page of the website which was the contact page. This page was a crucial part of the website as it allows people visiting the website to ask questions if they have any doubts. First, I brainstormed the contact details that I was going to include on the page and came to a conclusion that I will be including: phone number of the receptionist of the hospital, my email ID, the two doctor's email ID and the address of the hospital. Then I went on the website and did not realize the challenge I was going to face. Since, I had never used this website before, I realized that I had not clue, how to insert the contact us page. In weebly, there was an option that allowed us to create a contact page on its own. A format and a empty areas will be given. But I did not know how to do all that in using this website. But why fear when the help website is here. So, I went to their help website and posted my question. Within hours it was answered and I realized it was pretty easy to do. I followed their instructions and got exactly what I wanted. I really don't think I would have gotten this far, so smoothly without the help website. I really thank them because they are very efficient and answer the questions which one will clearly understand. I also learnt something today. I learnt that if I look closer, I will find what I am looking for because when I realized that what I was looking for was staring at me, I felt like a fool. I wished that I had looked closer before asking for help. This would have saved a lot of time. But since this is a learning experience, I am happy that I made this mistake and learnt my lesson. When I was finished with the making of the contact us page, all I had to do now, was to insert a picture of the map showing where the hospital is located. I quickly did this and was done with the today's task. I think this is the second easiest task that I had done during the website making process. The first was making the different pages of the website. I finished today's task in around 1 and half hours. But then I had around 2 and half hours spare time according to my planning. This is because, I had allotted 4 hours for this task. The next task which was load the video was allotted 2 hours. This meant that I can easily finish tomorrow's task and then brush all the burden off my shoulders. I uploaded the video that I had made on the home page. This was very easy because there was a clear option on the task tab. I uploaded the video and fortunately my internet was fast, The video uploaded quickly and I WAS DONE WITH THE WEBSITE! I am very relieved that I am done with the making of my website, the video and the whole create stage. I feel very proud and happy. I feel I worked very efficiently and enjoyed every single task even though there were many ups and downs. I took the obstacles that I faced as a learning opportunity. I learnt many things and am very content because everything worked out on my favor and has actually crossed my expectations. I hope to have such a wonderful journey next time too.                    DAY 8 and DAY 9 combined: WORK ON THE 6th AND THE 7th PAGE

Today I was very motivated and happy to do my work because of some unknown reason. The 8th and the 9th page was about the corneal transplants that are done at the center. I allotted 2 pages for it because I consider it as very important. It is one of the most important activities done by the center. I did this also for the fact that an international (German) organization is involved in these activities. Since, I was quite free and very energetic today, I decided to challenge myself finish doing both the pages today. I very well knew that I would have to work very hard, in order to achieve this goal, but I knew that I am going to do. And to my surprise, I did it! I am very very proud of myself and feel very satisfied with the work I have done. I also created a free day for myself which means I am finishing my work a day before, I am supposed. I am very happy that everything is going on very smoothly and the way I had expected. Everything is falling into place the way it should. Making these 2 pages of the website was pretty easy because I knew quite a lot about the organization. This is because I have attended quite a few activities conducted by them as community and service and I have talked to the German who represents Kenya, in the organization. In this page, I was aiming to include: what this is about, how it is done and some more general information. I knew some of the general information although, I did need my parents assistance. They also have a website where some information is given about what they do, why they do it and their main aim. I also referred to that website to get some of the information. So, the sources that I used to get information for the 6th and the 7th page is the cornea help website, interview with my parents and the knowledge that I had. This task was very easy because I did not face any challenges and everything went on smoothly. First, I combined all the information and put in on a word document just like I had done during the first task of create stage. Then I collected some new pictures because I had found some nice pictures that I did not have on the website of cornea help. Then all I had to do was copy paste the information onto the website and arrange it the way I wanted. Then I transferred the pictures onto the website and voila! Page 6 and page 7 were ready the way I wanted it to be! I also very happy about the fact that tomorrow, I will be working on the last page of the website and this will be the contact us page which will be very easy to make.                              DAY 7: I will work on fifth page of the website

Today's task was to work on the fourth page of the website which the service activity which is the weekly outreach activity conducted by the team of hospital. I am very proud today because if I complete this page, I will be more than half way done with the website. I am very happy that create stage will be coming to an end very soon! Today's task was actually not as easy as it sounds and as the other tasks. It was quite a difficult job because I was not very familiar with the way the weekly service activity works. I knew a little about it and the main purpose of this activity. In the research document, I had only written some brief facts because that was all I needed for the video. But I had someone neglected the fact that I would require more information when I making the website. So, first I wrote down the information that I knew and was sure about. Then when my parents returned form work,  I asked them a little about the service activity. Initially, I thought that they might not know much about because I had assumed that it was part of the Lions Club not the medical club. Lions club is different from the medical club because the lions club is a different part on its own and has very little to do with the hospital. They also do most of the service activities which is what made me assume that the the outreach activity was part of the Lions club. But then I was wrong because the outreach activity is conducted by the medical staff who are part of the medical club. This was something new that I learned today! So when my parents returned home, I asked them a little about the outreach activities and then explained everything to me. Then it was my job to put them into nice and appealing words and explain the same things on the website. I learnt a lot more about the out reach activity and why they do it. I also realized that this is really a non profitable organization because they do so much for the society and a lot of community and service. I also have made up my mind that I will try my best to attend at least one of them each month. I wrote everything the way and I wanted and I am very happy and proud to say that the this page has reached my expectations and is exactly the way I wanted it to be! I am very happy and satisfied with the work I did today. Here is a screenshot of the work I did today (the fourth page of the website). I also happy about the fact that I am officially more than half way through the website making process which is what motivated me today and will continue to do so until I finish the whole of create stage until I proudly hand it in. 

                                 DAY 6: I will work on the fourth page 

Today I worked on the fourth page of the website which includes which talks about the different sections present in the hospital. The Lions Eye Center is not a small hospital. It is quite big and is divided into different sections. It was supposed to contain drawn picture of the different sections. But instead I have tried to modify it a little. I will first check if the drawing looks good and suitable. If it does then I will insert it onto the page. But if it does not look good, I would not insert it. So, first I mentioned the different sections like the private section, the charitable section, the optical shop etc and talked a little about what those sections have to provide and just some basic information. It was not difficult because, I only talked about the major sections which were around 4 or 5 of them and then briefly described them. My worked looked very neat today because I had mentioned the different sections in different text boxes and outline each box with black. It looked as though I had allotted a box for each of them sections and made it look very neat and professional. The color contrast also had a lot of effect on the final look. The background was as you know yellow and the the color of the outline was black which made the information and the box stand out. The colors that I used were also mainly neutral making it look simple yet just the way I wanted. Writing the information about each section was easy because I know almost everything about the hospital, as I have visited it many times before. I also had my parents who would be always ready to give me assistance. So with the help of my own knowledge, my parents knowledge and the information that I had collected, I was able to write about a paragraph about each of the sections. This term, I am very grateful that I did not have to struggle even a little or go out of my way to get information. After I was done writing paragraphs about the various sections about the hospital, it was time for some drawing. So, I opened paint and tried drawing the different sections from an Areal view. I drew it successfully and like it quite a lot. But did I put it as part of the page? NO, I did not because I forgot about the fact that the hospital also has many floors. This would be a difficult thing to draw and put it as part of my page. I would have to have done multiple drawings which would have lead to me not following one of the specifications which is that the website should not have many pictures. This is all I did during today's task and I enjoyed a lot. I did not really ask for my parent's help today and was able to do most of the things by myself because I very well knew the sections of the hospital.                                DAY 5: Working on the third page of the website

Today I worked on the third page of the website which talks about the two main ophthalmologists working there as doctors. The two doctors are Dr. Sandhya Gokhale and Dr. Vishwanatha Gokhale. The page mainly included brief but detailed information about the two doctors. One of the main things that I had to include about the doctors is their qualifications. This is important in my opinion because when clients visit the website, they should know how qualified and professional the doctors are and therefore, it makes it easy for the patients to trust them and know that they will provide the best service. Today's task was very easy because, both the doctors are my parents and all I had to do was interview them and get all the information. Actually, I already had the information in brief points because during the first task, all I had to do was to get information which will guide me throughout the whole create stage. But since the information were in brief points, I still had to collect some more information which I did through an interview with my parents It was a pretty easy task because all the different sources of information were just at my hand. The document with the brief information was in my computer. Since I needed more information, I interviewed my parents. I really did not have to go out of my way to collect information and to complete this task. Therefore, the task was very very easy. I copy pasted most of the information from the interview and the document with the information. However, I did have to make a few modifications here and there. I did not face any challenges and I don't think I will come across and difficult situation or an obstacle because I have all the information and am now very familiar with how the website works and what is necessary for me to do in every task. This is what I did today and I enjoyed a lot because I got an very good opportunity to talk to my parents about their stage of education and many things other than that, because since they were my parents, I was very free and open with them and discussed many other fun things. I am very happy that I got a good opportunity to have a very healthy discussion and interact with my parents. It was fun! Here is a screenshot of what I did today:

                                      DAY 4: Work on the second page of the website 

today I worked on making the second page of the website and had a lot of fun!  It had to give some general information about the hospital to educate the reader. The page also contained a picture of two. One major advantage was that I had both all the information and the pictures ready in a document and all I had to do was to take the information from the word document and paste it on the website. I had summarized the general information on the document so during today's task, I had to elaborate more and write a more detailed paragraph on the website. So, it did not take a very long time for me to do so! I quickly copy pasted the summary from the word document onto the website and then I explained it well on the website. Today I realized that doing that first task which was collecting all the information and collecting everything that is necessary is a very very crucial part which eases and reduces steps while doing the next step. I am very grateful that these two were the first two steps of the creation of both video and website making. Elaborating more on the information was not very difficult. However, I did take some assistance form my parents who helped make my language and my grammar more professional and suitable to the main aim of the website. They helped me make the information more appealing to the people by using a lot of persuasive language! I did what I was supposed to do in around 4 hours and then the next step was to  insert two images. In the design, it is not specific as to which image had to be put on the second page. This meant that I had to think carefully about which and the number of pictures that I would put on that page. After a long time of debating with myself, I came to a conclusion. I quickly inserted the two images and I was done with today's task. I also spent less time than I had assigned for the task. I had assigned 6 hours for this task and I managed to finish it within around 4 and half to five hours. The second page of the website was done and it was looking fantastic. It was exactly the way I wanted it to be and did reach higher than my expectations! It looked very professional and suitable to the topic. It also looked attractive even though there was a single color only.  I had a lot of fun and learnt a lot! Here is a screenshot of the second page that I have made today:

                        DAY 3: make the first page of the website/ making the home page

Today was one of the most exciting tasks that I have ever done. Since last year's experience, I have loved making home pages. The experience that I am taking about occurred last to last year when we had to create a websites.  I had made my website using weebly and I highly regretted my decision. The website generator had prevented me from doing so many things that would have highly benefited me. My home page was the worst because it looked very ugly and not at all attractive. But I can assure someone that all the information in my website was very interesting and unique. But since first impression is the last impression, many people did not even want to read my website because the home page was not attractive. This really hurt me and form that time, I have been paying more attention to the appearance of the home page than the quality of the information in the website, However, I also feel that information is also equally important and crucial. So during today's task, I made the home page beautiful but modest at the same time! The title for this page was not attractive and special because the title was the name of the hospital. The background color was already there in the design and it was yellow. I feel the background was perfect because it completely matches with the hospital logo. A plain and a simple background also gives it a professional look. I put two pictures which were a picture of the hospital from outside and a picture of the entrance of the hospital. Since I had the pictures, I just had to insert them and then I was done. The was pretty easy even though I did not know how to insert the pictures initially. But the directions were very easy to follow and I saw this pictures bar on one of the areas and immediately knew that I was supposed to click on that. I inserted the two pictures and I was done. I did not face any challenges and thoroughly enjoyed myself! This was very simple and my homepage also looks very attractive and professional without much of hard work. I think a homepage should either one of professional or colorful and attractive. Or else it will not be a good home page. Last year, the problem was that my homepage was neither of them which was the reason why it looked very bad! This one bends more on the professional look side than the colorful and the attractive. And I think it is being on the perfect side because this is a website for advertising a hospital. If it was for advertising an event coming up or advertising a kid's club, then it should bend more of the attractive and colorful side! Ah! But wait what about the video that I was also supposed to insert on the home page according to the design. I have decided not to do that right now and will do it on the extra day that has been given for any pending work left. I want to insert in the end so that I can admire everything at once when it is completely done! Here is a screenshot of the work I did today!                                 DAY 2: Log in and create 7 pages for the website

When I first read the task, I though I was supposed to do all the  pages today. But then fortunately, I realized that I am only supposed to create the sections/ pages of the website. I knew something was wrong because I was very sure that I had not assigned only one day for the whole website! That was almost impossible.  But creating the pages was a very easy task because I only had to go the settings of the website and type in 7, so that 7 pages could be created. I managed to finish this task in 15 minutes  and enjoyed it because it was the easiest task I had ever done. I did not face any challenges. However, I was a little unsure about how to create multiple pages. So, what I did was just visit the help website, post the question/doubt and my problem was answered within hours. This is one of the main reasons why I chose to use www.wix.com. They have a very quick and an efficient help website which has answers to almost every question, anytime. I very well knew that I was going to face problems while creating the website which is why I chose a website generator with a quick help website. Fortunately, I found a website which had both good designs and a good response website. Basically, wix had everything I needed and perfectly met all my expectations. I made the pages as soon as I could because I had a lot of other work pending. In total, I made 7 pages and counted if they were enough or if they were more than needed. To make the process faster, I started writing the titles of each pages and a short summary of what is going to be included in the website. This made me understand that I had an extra page and the website was supposed to have 6 pages not 7 because it had 6 main topics that were going to be discussed in the website. Doing this also made my next tasks easier, because in the next task, I  would not have to waste time thinking about creative and attractive titles which were also suitable at the same time. Another thing that I forgot to mention before was that all the title that I created for each page were creative and appealing to the audience. I was very proud of myself because even though I had other work to do, I still tried my best to go ahead as much as I can so that it can ease off the remaining tasks. I think this is a good idea, because towards the end of mid term holidays and the beginning of school, I will be loaded with a lot of work and will have very less time for my CT work.                        DAY 1 of website making: collecting all the information for the website 

     Today's task was exactly the same as the first task of video making. I collected all the information I needed. The basic topics I needed to research about, were:  General information about the hospital, information about the doctors working at the hospital, the different sections of the hospital, the outreach activity, corneal transplants and the map of the hospital. The website needs to contain detailed and clear information which will teach the reader a lot about the hospital. The video only contained facts but the website is going to have paragraphs of information which will educate the reader about the hospital. I finished the task successfully today and took much less time than what I had allotted during the planning stage. I had allotted 9th and 10th of October, 4 hours per day, for this task. I finished this task within 4 hours in one day. This means that I can rest tomorrow and have a break from create stage. I also have another option which is to work ahead of plan. I am going to opt for the first option because, I have constantly been working on my create stage, since day 1! I really feel that I deserve a break which will bring back my mood and energy. I need a day to relax and this is a very good opportunity and I going to grab it. Back to today's task; I worked very hard today and used a wide range of sources to get my information. I mainly used my parents and the my previous research work that I had used for my video. In my previous research, almost all the information was there because all I had to do was to elaborate and explain more on the summarized information. Remember, the information in the video is  SUMMARY of the information on the website. But not all the information was available there, so I had to take assistance from my parents because they know everything about the hospital. I used the hospital brochure for some points, and used the hospital's Facebook page for some more. These were the sources I used to get my information for the website. I had fun and this time, I did not collect the information mechanically, I made sure that I read the information carefully and understand it because the main aim of making the website is for me to learn about the hospital and to learn how websites and videos are made. I finished my work quickly because I very well knew what I was supposed to do as I had just done it weeks ago! I learnt a lot today! 

                                                       DAY 9: Making the LAST four scenes of the video 

   

     Today is the last day of video and the obviously the last task! I am feeling much much better than yesterday! I am also very happy that I am done with all the video making things! It has surely given me quite a few headaches but the experience has been memorable and fun! I am also quite happy with the choice of my video making software. Last year, when I was making a video, the software had disappointed me a little. But then fortunately, this year it has surely reached my expectations and I am sure that whenever, I would want to make a video, I would love to use this software. Back to the work that I did today, I had a lot of fun today. I also did the work to the best of my ability. There were many things that kept me motivated, but the two main things were that today was the last day of video making and the second was that, finishing this task will be mean that I will be half was through the create stage. These two phrases kept me motivated and gave me a sense of relief whenever I thought about them. Today's task was very easy to compared to yesterday because the last 4 scenes did not require much information and only had pictures. This was very easy because I just had to insert the pictures and I would be done with the scene. The four scenes that I had to work on, today were:  Picture of the whole team of the hospital and a fact about them, a fact about the reputation of the hospital, a concluding picture of the hospital from outside, a picture of the map showing the exact location of the hospital. It is also going to state some important landmarks near the hospital. The last scene which was the map, was a little challenging because I had never used Google maps and did not know if the picture that I will get will be similar to what I am expecting. This is why I had included 'expert help' during my planning as the things that I would require. I took my father's help because he is always using maps and very well knew how to use and deal with them. He asked the details of what I was expecting and what I needed. Then he searched the name of the search bar of the Google maps and got exactly what I needed. In that process, even I learnt a lot about maps and how to use them. I also had to insert the background music today! I downloaded the mp 3 version of the music and successfully inserted onto my video. I played through the video once again and to my surprise everything was perfectly okay! I am very happy that I am successfully done with the video making part and I am very anxious about the other section because I really have to no idea what types of headaches and shocks the second section is going to cause!                    DAY 8: Working on the  next three scenes of the video. 

      Today's task was much similar to yesterday's because even today I had to make the next three scenes of the video. Today is also the second last day of the video making process. I very happy about this because after tomorrow, I will be starting a new journey of website making. Actually, I am not very happy because it is a very stressful job. I am really hoping that I will be able to cope up. Sometimes I feel that I made the wrong choice by deciding to do both a video and a website. But on the other hand, I also feel that I challenged my ability and my efficiently while working. But whatever it is, I have to work since I have already made the decision. Unlike yesterday, I was a little down today as I was not feeling well. So, I could not do today's work to the best of my ability. I also did not do it with much interest which means that I also did not enjoy doing my work today. But I tried very hard! It was a very similar task as yesterday but I took more time than I did today (three hours). The only thing that kept me motivated today was the fact that this was the second last day of video making and that I will feel successful and relieved once I am done. Fortunately, I did not face any challenges today because if I had, then I would have become very moody and would have not done my work today. This means that I would have gone off the plan which I have been trying to maintain since the day I began with create stage. The work went on quite smoothly, but since I was not feeling well, I had to take breaks and rest in between. Usually, I finish my work at a go which makes me feel more satisfied and nice compared to when I rests in between. But somehow, I managed to finish my work on time and did feel quite satisfied. I am quite excited about tomorrow because it is the last day of video making! I am very happy but also anxious because I am very sure, that I am going to face many many many obstacles while making the website because it is much more complicated and complex compared to video making! I have also not made a website using the software that I am going to use, so I really don't know if I will be happy of not with the decision of using that software!                                        DAY 7: Working on the next three scenes of the video 

Today I was working on the next three scenes of the video. The next 3 scenes included ,  Picture of cornea-help (corneal transplant) activities and a fact  picture of cornea-help (corneal transplant) activities and a fact about it picture of the outreach activity conducted by the team of the hospital and a fact about it. This was not at all a difficult job, especially after yesterday's experience. I started the work with a positive thought and saying to myself that if I had managed to complete the previous task, then I can definitely finish this task because it is obviously much easier than the previous one. I think, starting on a positive note, made it very helpful for me and motivated me to work harder. To be honest, after doing yesterday's task, I feel that today's was very easy and did it much quicker and efficiently. Fortunately, I did not face many obstacles today and I am very happy about it because every task that I have done, I have faced challenges. It was a great relief that I did not have any today and everything went as smooth as a silk cloth. As usual, I enjoyed a lot while doing my work and I am also very happy to say that I learnt quite a few things about the hospital. When I was collecting information, I did not exactly pay attention to the facts and the information that I was collecting. But today, when I was working, I read the facts very careful and it amazed me on how I could have not read my information properly. This shows that I had done the first task for the sake for it and not to the best of ability. This was something that I reflected upon today. I think I was given a second chance to learn the information that I had missed and this second chance also taught me this lesson. That is why, I went back to task 1 and read all the information, very very carefully! I finished making the three scenes well before the time that I had expected to take. During the planning stage, I had allotted 4 hours for this task but as usual, I managed to finish much before time. I finished this task in 2 hours. I am very happy when I finish before time because since my holiday's are going on, I do not have to spend much time on the computer. I can go out a play. But overall, I enjoyed today's work and hopefully my tasks will be successfully completed! Here is a screenshot of the work I did today:

                                 Day 6: Making the next 5 scenes of the video!

Today suddenly became a hectic day because all of a sudden I had a lot of work to do. Since many days, I have only been working on and making 2-3 scenes per day and this has put me into a lethargic and a lazy mood. I also have countless number of assignments which are due before the break, so there is a lot of pressure on me right now. I somehow managed to make the 5 scenes, however, I struggled quite a lot. But I also learnt a very important lesson. That was that I better learn how to manage my time well, or else I am going to struggle a lot in future. Today, for the first time since holidays have started, I slept very late today, so that I move according to the plan and don't have a backlog towards the submission date. This year, I am trying my very best to stick the plan that I had made during the developing ideas stage. I am also very happy that I collected all the photos and the information that I needed, at the beginning. This is because, now, I only have to open the software, put the picture and a caption with the brief information, and do some slight editing like the font, colors etc. The first two steps which were collecting pictures and information, made the rest of create stage very easy. I think I made the best decision by choosing to do so at the beginning. Even though it was very hectic and stressful today, surprisingly, I enjoyed doing  my work at the same time. I also learnt another important lesson today, which was not to underestimate any work. Initially, I had thought that the work is very easy because I have every single thing that I need. But when I started working, I got a shock. Yes, it was quite easy, but it was very time consuming and irritating. It was a little irritating because whenever I added the picture, closed the software, opened it again and tried playing the video, the pictures would refuse to show. Instead, it would show me a big cross across the scene! It was very annoying as I had to keep repeating the steps many times. Then finally after many tries, I had to take expert which was my brother. When I asked him, he did something and fixed it! Huff!! It was such a relief. After that I worked like the wind, smooth and fast! I loved working after my problem was fixed! I also learnt what the problem was so that I do not get stuck in the same way next time. This was the summary of today's activity and how I progressed today. I also very proud of myself that I am keeping to the plan and not procrastinating for the first time. I think not procrastinating is a very big change and hopefully, it will continue the same way.                                   Day 5: Working on the next 2 scenes of the video. 

Today's task was pretty easy because it was a very short and a very straightforward task. I finished it in an hour which was less than what I had predicted this task to take. The 2 scenes that I had to make today was a picture of Dr. Gokhale consulting a patient and a fact about him and a picture of Mrs. Dr. Gokhale consulting a patient and a fact about her. As mentioned before, today's task was quite easy and did not take a very long time. During the planning (the making of the product plan), I had predicted that this task will take 3-4 hours. Surprisingly, I was able to finish it within 2 hours. The only difficulty was that I did not have an exact copy of the pictures. This was because both the pictures were in a newspaper article which was stuck on the hospital notice board. I asked the hospital's permission and they allowed me to take it home for a few days. So, I went home, scanned the pictures and saved it in my laptop. I also returned the article back to the hospital so that they don't lose my trust. I did not want to lose their confidence in me because 1. So that I can take future assistance from them 2. I am making a website for them, so they need to trust me and that all the information on the website is reliable an true. These are the main reasons why I am trying to maintain a decent relationship with the hospital and their staff. So, after I photocopied the pictures and saved it on my laptop, I felt a sense of relief. I quickly added them to the video and proceeded to the next step which was to write the facts about them. Since, I had all the information ready, the process became much easier. I had also organized the information according to scenes so that when I am making the video, I just have to copy and the paste the information from the word document to the video, respectively. Another problem that I faced today was that somehow, I forgot to keep track of the time. I mean the length (duration) of each scene was more than it was supposed to be. This was not at all a major problem because all I had to do was go to the bar which had the options of choosing the duration and adjust from there! All thanks to technology! Actually technology has made everything easy. The software that I am using is also very easy to use, and I trust it a lot because I have used it before and it has always reached my expectations! So this was all for today. I enjoyed a lot! The fact that I was able to finish my work in less time than predicted gave me a boost for the day because it made me feel very confident and efficient. This also made more time for all my other works and tasks that I had to finish for the day, and therefore more free time. Here is a screenshot that proves and shows my achievement of today! Voila! :

                              Fourth day of create- creating the next four scenes of video. 

      Today I created the next four scenes of the video which included picture of one of the doctor and a fact about him picture of the other doctor and a fact about her another picture showing the inside of the hospital and a fact about the hospital. Today was quite similar to yesterday. I did not face much difficulties and throughout the whole process, everything went on very smoothly and exactly the way I wanted it to be. I also enjoyed doing my work today. However, I did face a challenge (quite a major one), today. Somehow, when I was collecting the pictures I needed for the video making (the first task), I forgot to take the pictures of my parents. I did not need pictures of my parents checking a patient (which I already had). I needed a simple picture of them. I did not have this picture and I went in a shock for sometime. I still wonder how I skipped such an important picture. But then I got up and decided that I will click their picture once they come back from the hospital. When they came back, I took a close up of them and voila! I had my picture ready. It is very true that every problem has a solution to it! After taking the pictures, I added them to the video. Since, it was a working day for my parents, I finished today's task before they came, took their pictures when they came back and added them to the video. I was done with today's task by evening, and spent some time in the evening to edit the video a little and just to make sure it was the way I wanted. This was a briefing of everything that happened today. I enjoyed it and am looking forward for more of such days. Here is a screenshot of the next four scenes of the video. 

Day #3: Making the first four scenes of the video!

Today I made the first four scenes of the video. It was great fun and for the first time since I started the process, I feel I made quite a lot of progress today! It was very easy to do mainly because I had done it before (experience) and because I did not have do depend on anything or anyone. All I needed was my laptop! Surprisingly, I also worked very quickly today. I also managed to finish all the work that I was supposed to do and did it to the best of my ability. The video looks amazing and I like it till now! The only thing missing in the video is the music. I am very shocked about how I forgot to mention the pleasant and soothing music in the background. That is the reason why the video looked plain when I played it! Then I compared it to the video that I had made last year. And that it is when it flashed to me that the background music is missing. Then I looked up for a suitable, soothing, and pleasant music that would go very well with the video! Fortunately I found one very quickly and it is of one hour long. That is why I did not download it today. I did not download it because I wanted ot finish the whole video, then download it, then convert it to the Mp 3 format, then cut the music according to how long my video is and then put the music. I think that will be much easier than doing it right now, when I have only done 4 scenes of the video! So far everything has been awesome! As mentioned before, I did not face much challenges and really enjoyed doing my work. The fact that I made some progress today, has motivated to continue the same way and finish my video successfully! Everything went on smoothly and hopefully, the same will happen tomorrow!                          Day #2- collecting all the information that I need

today I collected all the information that I need for making the video. As mentioned before, the video needs to contains facts in between so that the viewer is as informed as if he read the whole website. Just with the difference that the information in the video will be a summary of the information on the website. However, it will cover the same area of topics as the website, so that the viewer of the video will know almost everything about the Lions Eye Center. Today I finished whatever I was supposed to do according to the plan and found this task quite easy, except for a few challenges that I faced here and there. The different sources that I used during today's task were: the internet and interviewing with my parents. I used more of the interview answers than the information I got from the internet. This was because there was not much information on the internet, which is why I am making a website for the hospital! I collected some basic information like what cornea transplants are, what they do etc,( things that are directly not related to the hospital) from the internet. All the other information was gotten through interviews because in this case, my parents knew more about the hospital than the internet! One of the challenges that I faced was not really a challenge but a confusion. Initially, I started using the internet to find the information and was very very disappointed when I realized that I was not able to find any information. But then I had failed to realize that I have a tool much more helpful and knowledgeable about the topic, than the internet! That was my parents. I had a chat with them and within one hour I had all the information I needed! MAGIC! Another challenge that I faced was the convenience of time! The day I interviewed my parents was weekday. I had to go to school while my parents went for work. The problem was that I came home very late and my parents had gone for a meeting before I had come home! So when they returned home very late, I was already asleep. But then I woke myself up and interviewed them! This was a challenge that I successfully overcame!! I am very happy about today and the fact that I am able to follow the plan until now! I hope to continue being productive everyday and have a very good outcome in the end! 29/09/2014 and 30/09/2014 

Today I did all the work I was supposed today. Today I was mainly supposed to collect all the pictures that I needed for my video. I got some of them from the internet, some from the pictures that my father has clicked a very long time and some I had to click pictures. Yes! I had to tell my father to click a few pictures of the hospital. I told him the requirements and explained the pictures needed. I had assumed that I had some and would get the rest from the internet. But then I realized that they don't have an own website! But that is why I am here. To make an official website of the hospital. After my father clicked the pictures for me, i transferred them into my computer and saved them. I also made a folder for the pictures only,

There are many things that I enjoyed during the 2 days of collecting pictures. One of the things I liked was that I got a rare opportunity of asking a favor from my parents, especially my father. I felt very good when I asked his help and thought that this was a good way to make our bond stronger. He is also a good photographer and took many good pictures. Overall, I liked the whole experience of collecting pictures. It was an easy task which I successfully completed within 2 days. For tomorrow I will be collecting information needed for the video. I will be doing this in the evening after I come home for school. I will be collecting information through the internet but mainly through interview. I will be interviewing my parents as they are the ones who will have the most information!
